Synopsis

This is the picture of a man that is building his double with earth.

This living portrait marks its own body with the pain the man endures in his relationship.

Director's BIO

Born in 1978 in Marseille (French and Swiss nationality), Jonathan Laskar studies visual arts at the University of Aix-Marseille (France) where he focalises on painting and sound-installation. In parallel with his studies, he continues his musical training in classical double-bass at the Conservatory of Aix-en-Provence.

After obtaining his bachelor, Jonathan Laskar begins his architecture studies at the Bauhaus University of Weimar (Germany). Numerous interdisciplinary and international workshops allow him to make technical and artistic experiences in the domains of video, music, architecture and graphic design.

After working three years as an architect in Basel (Switzerland) and participating at many competitions, Jonathan Laskar studies at the Lucerne University. He graduates in 2013 obtaining a master in art, major short motion.

With the graduation-film “De terre et d’encre”, Jonathan Laskar signs his fist animated short film.
