Synopsis

"Black Night" is a one-man drama set in the wilderness of Santo Domingo in 2048, where an unhappy man, Oscar Perez, struggle to survive the system, society and finally himself. Made with digital animation techniques that combine freehand drawings, photographs and three-dimensional spaces.

Director's BIO

Born in the city of La Vega, Dominican Republic, in 1975. He began studying art at age 10 at the National Palace of Fine Arts in Santo Domingo, as a teenager going to the National School of Plastic Arts of Dominican Republic, where he took classes in painting, drawing and sculpture until the second year of the institution. In 2002 obtained the title of architect at the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, UASD. Years later he joined the film school of that institution.

Since 2011 started training a self-taught in photography. Currently mixing architecture, visual arts and photography in his independent film projects. He directed the short films "Milisegundos (Milliseconds)" and "Negra Noche (Black Night)", he also made the art direction of the short films "6:15", "Irene" and "Gula (Gluttony)".
