Synopsis
Inspired by a nature documentary, “Ahco on the Road” is the story of a baby elephant, ‘Ahco’, who is on a journey to find her way back home after being separated from her mother.
Director's BIO
Soyeon Kim was born in Seoul, Korea. While she majored Painting at college, she developed her interest in moving images, which naturally lead her to the world of animation. Soyeon has been working on a broad range of projects in the world of advertising and film productions as a director, designer, and animator. Her work is visually strong and often experimental, since she loves to create various styles and textures using different painting techniques and bring them into animations.
She lives in northern California in US, working on various projects with studios around the world as well as running her own design/animation studio ‘YELLOWSHED’ with her partner, Todd Hemker. She now teaches film & animation at California State University Monterey Bay.
