Synopsis
The film tells the story of a castaway on a mysterious island that is only inhabited by a girl living in a seemingly defunct lighthouse. A classic triangle of a father, his daughter and her lover is being told in an unusual way.
Director's BIO
Born 1978 in Spišská Nová Ves, Czechoslovakia. Grew up in Slovakia and Germany. Graduated 2003 in animation directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Work experience at a number of leading animation studios in Czech Republic and Germany on short films, music videos, TV spots, but also visual effects for movies. Founder and co-owner of the Kovofilm animation studio in Prague since 2008. Recently finished work on the animated short “Maják”, supported by the Film Fund of the Czech Ministry of Culture.
